CASTAIC, Calif. (KABC) -- Recovery dive teams are expected to resume their search for a paddleboarder who went missing in the lower lagoon of Castaic Lake over the weekend.

Strong winds overturned two paddleboards, sending two people into the water around 12:30 p.m. on Sunday, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

A woman who was wearing a life jacket was safely pulled from the water, but the man who was with her is still unaccounted for.

That man has been identified as 61-year-old Espiridion Philip Camez.

Divers searched for him for several hours, but eventually suspended their search.

The sheriff's department said Camez is presumed dead, and recovery divers will continue their search for him on Monday morning.

NOTE: Officials initially said the man and woman were thrown off their kayaks, but in a later update, they clarified and said they were actually on paddleboards.
