SAN BERNARDINO (KABC) -- A San Bernardino man is in a desperate search to find his missing pet tortoise.

Dolly the tortoise escaped from her enclosure on Thursday. She was last seen off 7th Street and L Street.

The sulcata tortoise is only about 3 years old, and the species can live to be up to 130, so Dolly is still a baby.

Her owner says Dolly is about the size of a cat. He says he's looked everywhere within a few miles of his home, put up posters, posted online and called animal shelters. But so far, there's been no sign of Dolly.

Now, he's hoping to expand his search.

"She was able to push part of the gate forward and create a hole big enough for her through, and so I did not know, and she got out, escaped," said Dolly's owner, Cactus Bash. "I want her found so much. I miss my baby girl. I want to make sure she's safe. I'm worried about her."

Bash asks that if you spot his tortoise or have information on her whereabouts, please contact him on Instagram @thegoshdangfiretruckingbatman.
