LAKE ELSINORE, Calif. (KABC) -- A high school in the Inland Empire was placed on lockdown on Friday due to reports of a possible active shooter, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies searched Lakeside High School on Riverside Drive in Lake Elsinore after someone reported a person with a deadly weapon.
The sheriff's office said they did not locate any evidence to indicate a crime had been committed, and the all-clear was issued.
It's possible a false report was made.
A woman who lives in the area told Eyewitness News that multiple ambulances and deputy vehicles were lined up outside the school before the all-clear was given.
