GLENDALE, Calif. (KABC) -- Three businesses at a strip mall in Glendale were targeted and broken into early Friday morning, and part of it was caught on video.
The break-ins happened around 3 a.m. at Dina's Chicken, El Pavo Bakery and El Ruby Cafe on San Fernando Road near Los Feliz Boulevard.
Security footage captured two suspects breaking through the front door of El Ruby Cafe and heading to the register. After opening it and finding nothing, they quickly searched the rest of the restaurant before fleeing.
Business owners say they woke up to calls from police just before 5:30 a.m.
"It's very devastating because we are a family business," said Vanessa Cuateco, the daughter of the cafe's owner. "You know, we do work hard. We've had this restaurant for many years."
The suspects also left shattered glass at El Pavo Bakery, but from the outside, it appeared otherwise untouched.
Meanwhile, the owners of the famous Dina's Chicken say they saw the same suspects on their camera.
"We saw two assailants go through the whole store within maybe four or five minutes, and just try and grab whatever they could grab," said co-owner Linda Pearson.
Pearson added it's been an ongoing issue.
"Times seem to be tougher and tougher... We've been here 58 years and every day there seems to be more and more to deal with, so throwing this on top of it is very frustrating."
Investigators are now looking for fingerprints at the scene. Glendale police say they feel confident in their chances at catching the suspects with a print.
